Dutch-Moroccan Soccer Star Ihattaren Heckled at Airport After Choosing Netherlands Team
His choice apparently did not please. Having chosen the Netherlands as his sporting nationality, the young player of Moroccan origin, Mohammed Ihattaren, was accosted by supporters at Eindhoven airport.
A few days after definitively opting for the Netherlands, the young player was not spared by Moroccan supporters at Eindhoven airport, where he was called a traitor by some of them.
Mohammed Ihattaren was traveling to Austria with his club, PSV Eindhoven, which was to face Lask linz. The match was lost 4-1.
At the beginning of this week, and after several months of suspense, the player announced that his choice had fallen on the Netherlands. In a statement to the Dutch media, Mohammed Ihattaren said he had long hesitated between the two teams, but his choice had ultimately fallen on the Oranje, a team with which he had already played with the under-17s.
