PSV’s Mohammed Ihattaren Faces Racist Chants About Late Father During Dutch League Match

The Dutch international of Moroccan origin, Mohammed Ihattaren, was the target of chants aimed at his late father, during the match between PSV Eindhoven and ADO The Hague.
The young Dutch prodigy of Moroccan origin had a terrible evening on Saturday, February 15, during this confrontation, counting for the Dutch championship.
While his team was leading by a wide score of 3-0, the PSV Eindhoven gem was the target of racist chants aimed at his late father. From the stands, the racist chants were flying. According to Fox Sports, the group of racists were chanting in chorus "Mo Mo, Mocro (in reference to his Moroccan origins, ed.), where is your father?".
This was enough to make the Dutch midfielder burst into tears. Witnessing this regrettable incident, the legend Marco Van Basten considers that racism is a big problem in the Netherlands. "It’s intimidation, it’s disgusting," he lamented.
At the end of the incident, the opposing team launched an investigation to find the individuals behind this racist drift.
Four months ago, Mohammed Ihattaren lost his father after a long illness. The deceased had then been repatriated to Morocco and buried in Al Hoceima.
