Drunk Driver Injures Ten in Marrakech Boulevard Crash

The hit-and-run traffic accident, recorded on Sunday around 1:30 a.m. on Boulevard Moulay Rachid, resulted in about ten injured, according to a statement from the local authorities.
The person in question, who was driving in a very advanced state of intoxication, according to the MAP, lost control of his vehicle, first hitting a streetlight, then the exterior of a snack bar.
The local authorities and the civil protection services rushed to the scene to intervene and initiate the necessary procedures.
As for the nine people injured in this accident, they were taken to the Mohammed VI University Hospital to receive the necessary care, the local authorities point out, noting that five of them have already left the hospital, while the health condition of the other four injured, still under medical supervision, is stable.
For now, the driver, whose identity is known, is being sought by the authorities concerned with a view to his arrest and presentation before the justice system, concludes the same source.
