Drug Trafficking Suspects Arrested Near Fez After Dog Attack on Police Officer

The police elements arrested Friday in Al-Batha, near Fez, two repeat offenders aged 21 and 37. They are brothers and would be involved in a case of possession and drug and psychotropic trafficking. They would also have tried to attack police officers using a fierce dog.
To ward off the danger emanating from the dog, a police officer was forced to fire two warning shots, said a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN). After neutralizing the dog, the two suspects were then arrested in flagrante delicto of possession of 274 psychotropic tablets, including 40 ecstasy tablets, as well as 15 capsules containing a white powder that would be cocaine.
The two suspects were placed in custody for investigation to determine the circumstances of this case. The seized capsules were sent to the forensic police laboratory for the necessary analysis, according to the DGSN.
