Drug Kingpin with 40 Warrants Captured in Moroccan Forest Hideout

The drug baron called El Ouazzani fell into the trap of the elements of the Royal Gendarmerie of Benslimane, last Friday. The one who was the subject of 40 local and national wanted notices, was also being prosecuted for drug trafficking, rape and kidnapping of a girl.
El Ouazzani was caught inside a hut located deep in the "Dahr ben Amar" forest, in the company of several of his accomplices, as well as other drug traffickers who, they managed to escape, reports the daily Assabah, adding that at the time of his arrest, the accused had in his possession 150 psychotropic tablets and several slabs of cannabis resin, as well as two knives and a mobile phone.
It is a diminished baron that the gendarmerie elements arrested, in a forest where he reigned supreme, and under the good guard of his collaborators in his service. The accused was coming out of a bloody and violent clash between him and his rivals in the activity. The surroundings of the forest were combed through, in order to find the young woman victim of rape and kidnapping, the newspaper indicates.
Seen in poor health after his arrest, the accused was taken to the Hassan II provincial hospital in Benslimane where he received first aid, before being transferred to the Ibn Sina hospital in Rabat. He is placed under medical and police surveillance, under the supervision of the King’s Prosecutor near the Court of Appeal of Casablanca, concludes the same source.
