Migrants, all from sub-Saharan countries, stormed the fence separating Morocco and the city of Melilla on Sunday morning.
Citing local authorities, the MAP indicates that around forty migrants were arrested following this assault, specifying that about fifty others managed to cross this barrier and thus reach Spain.
At least two sub-Saharan migrants were injured as well as seven Moroccan police officers. They were all taken to the provincial hospital in Nador to receive the necessary care.
This type of assault is unfortunately common in this area as well as in the city of Ceuta. They generally result in several injuries and sometimes even deaths.
