Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s Wife Breaks Silence on Marriage and COVID-19 Separation

Myriam L’Aouffir, Dominique Strauss-Kahn’s wife, has confided at length and for the first time, on her relationship with the former IMF president.
Myriam Strauss-Kahn is a "former communications officer at France Télévisions" who now heads "several charitable associations". For the past 13 years, she has remained silent about her love life and the troubles experienced by her husband. Confined for several weeks with her husband DSK in Morocco, she claims that "very strict measures have been quickly put in place". As a result, she finds herself separated from her two children aged 20 and 10, due to the rapid closure of borders. "This is very painful for me. I was unable to bring them here or join them in France," she said.
Dominique and Myriam Strauss-Kahn officially formalized their union in January 2018, after a grand wedding celebration held in 2017 in Morocco. "The time is for urgency with this devastating pandemic," pleads the wife of the former IMF chief, who acknowledges the effectiveness of the measures taken by the kingdom for the benefit of all. She recounts that her association is actively participating in a food basket operation for the most destitute families in the villages and is launching an unprecedented "phone recharges" initiative for students in remote areas, so that they can continue their schooling online. Through Orange Maroc, she offers 1,000 recharges per month for the benefit of these young people, reports gala.fr
Despite the confinement, the Strauss-Kahn couple does not give up. "By nature optimistic, I keep telling my friends that in these times of confinement, it is essential to put everything into perspective, the important thing being to have a roof, food and to be with one’s husband and loved ones," she says, while stressing that time has stopped and that she is counting on her husband to brighten this horizon.
