Domestic Violence Shocks Moroccan Village: Man Surrenders After Allegedly Killing Wife

The couple had been going through difficult times for several months, according to relatives interviewed by the channel. After slitting his wife’s throat, the man called his brother and then went to the Royal Gendarmerie station to turn himself in.

"My brother called me. I was working with my other brother in the fields. He just told me that he had just slit his wife’s throat," his brother recounts to the media, showing the traces of blood in the couple’s bedroom.

Another relative mentions repeated disputes within the couple. The victim had left the marital home for several months and her husband had begged her to come back, which she finally did.

Today, two young children are left without their mother and, according to the family, the man has been suffering from mental disorders for some time.
