Morocco: Wife Arrested in Husband’s Fatal Balcony Push, Five Others Implicated
Thursday 11 April 2019, by
The mystery of the murder of a man by defenestration has just been solved by the judicial police of Berrechid. It would be attributable to the victim’s wife, her brother, her mother and three other people hired for this purpose.
On Tuesday, the judicial police of Berrechid arrested six people, a 42-year-old woman, her brother and her mother, as well as three other men. They are accused, according to Al Akhbar, of having killed the woman’s husband by defenestration.
The latter would have requested the services of three men to help her tie up her husband before pushing him to give her money and documents, then remove his bonds and force him to jump from the second floor of the building where the family home is located, in Berrechid, to make this premeditated and cold-blooded murder pass for a suicide. These events took place on April 1st, very early in the morning...
Learning that a man had fallen from the second floor, the on-duty police services rushed to the scene and found him seriously injured in the head but still alive. He would have explained the things to them, and the agents on the spot would have filmed his statements. Following this, he would have been rushed to the hospital, in Casablanca, to be placed in intensive care. He will die a few moments later.
The woman will give another version of the facts (given the seriousness of the victim’s injuries in giving his statements, this could have served), but she will contradict herself many times, before admitting the truth and giving the names of the three men who helped her, while informing the authorities of all the details of the case.
The victim had another wife, and his murderess, the second wife, prevented him from seeing his children and his other wife.
