Brutal Throat-Slitting Incident in Meknès Shocks Morocco, Police Investigate

Passers-by are said to have discovered a 28-year-old man with his throat slit, in the Al Borj neighborhood of Meknès. The victim had his throat slit and was lying in a pool of his own blood. A video was recorded by one of them.

An investigation has been opened by the police to shed light on this case, probably a murder, with the priority of identifying the perpetrators, if any, as well as their motives. But the authorities are not ruling out the suicide thesis since a razor blade and psychotropic drugs were found at the scene.

The individual who, according to Hespress, lived alone, is said to have died on the way to the hospital. His body was taken to the morgue of the Mohammed V Hospital in Meknès.
