The Dirham Falls Against the Euro

The Moroccan dirham appreciated by 0.6% against the US dollar and slightly depreciated by 0.2% against the euro during the period from April 9 to 15, according to Bank Al-Maghrib.

During this period, no auction operations were carried out on the foreign exchange market, indicates the Moroccan central bank in its weekly indicators bulletin.

Official reserve assets reached 462.5 billion dirhams on April 10, up 0.3% over one week and 20.4% year-on-year.

Regarding the stock exchange, the MASI index advanced 3.5% over the same period, reducing its annual underperformance to 0.5%, Bank Al-Maghrib further indicates.

As for the weekly trading volume, it increased from one week to the next, from 2.6 MMDH to 3 MMDH, realized mainly on the central "Equities" market.
