Dilapidated Taxi Shocks German Tourist at Morocco’s Popular Agadir Resort

A German tourist took photos of the taxi that picked her up at Agadir’s Al Massira airport, the city considered the second tourist destination of the kingdom and the favorite of Germans, revealing the deplorable state of the vehicle.
The taxi transported the German tourist from the airport to her hotel. It was during this journey that she took photos of the vehicle, revealing its dilapidated condition. In principle, a taxi like this one, which does not meet any comfort and safety conditions, should not be allowed to access the airport area to transport tourists.
The Moroccan government and the authorities of the city of Agadir have made efforts to develop the city’s infrastructure in order to offer comfort and safety to tourists, particularly with regard to transportation from the airport, the gateway to the kingdom for these tourists after their arrival by plane.
The Moroccan authorities are called upon to authorize transportation via applications, already adopted in other countries, to put an end to the monopoly of taxis with a license and offer better transportation conditions to domestic and foreign tourists.
