DHL to Open Largest Morocco Warehouse at Tanger-Med Port, Boosting Africa-Europe Logistics

A new logistics hub of the global leader DHL will soon see the light of day at the Tanger-Med port. It will be specially dedicated to the Africa-Europe activity of the group.
With an area of 6,000 m2, DHL’s largest warehouse in Morocco will be located at the gateway to the international markets of its customers, particularly for imports and exports to and from Europe and Africa.
In addition to service offerings, the new hub also promises customers "customs clearance facilitation and supply chain management, in addition to its air, sea and land transportation services."
"Due to its strategic location, Tanger Med represents a great opportunity for us. Its multimodal connectivity, particularly maritime, but also road via the motorway network connected to Casablanca and further south, will allow us to extend and optimize our service offerings to our customers," said Christelle Fadel, Managing Director, DHL Global Forwarding, Morocco, in a statement.
For his part, Rachid Houari, Managing Director of Medhub, indicates that the "Tanger Med Logistics Zone is an ideal choice for large multinationals and logistics operators looking to optimize their logistics operations and redistribute their goods flows to Africa, Europe and America."
Its commissioning is scheduled for next month.
