Deadly Floods in Morocco: Two Killed as Torrential Rains Hit Khénifra Region

Two people, including a teenager and a sexagenarian, died in Khénifra in the floods that hit the Kingdom. The teenager died from a fatal fall due to the power of the wind, while the older person was swept away by the torrents.
Alerted by the population, the civil protection elements went to the scene to try to rescue the young girl. The roads blocked by mud and torrents also did not facilitate her emergency evacuation.
Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to her injuries during her evacuation to the hospital. As for the second, a sexagenarian who lives in the rural commune of Sidi Hcin, she was swept away by the violent floods that hit the region.
For now, the bodies of the two victims have been transferred to the morgue pending their autopsy for the purposes of the investigation.
A few days earlier, a similar tragedy occurred in Taroudant and had cost the lives of 8 people. The victims, in their case, had been swept away by the flood while attending a football match.
