Deadly Alcohol Scandal in Oujda: Two Arrested in Toxic Substance Investigation

The investigation into the tragedy that occurred last weekend in Oujda, causing the death of several people, led to the arrest on Tuesday of two individuals. They are suspected of having marketed substances harmful to health.
The press release from the Attorney General of the King near the Court of this city, reported by the MAP, indicates that the investigation opened on the instructions of the public prosecutor’s office was motivated by the calls and cries of revolt launched on social networks following the deaths and hospitalizations of several people.
Initially, the investigations led to the arrest of an individual. The latter was brought before the public prosecutor’s office and indicted on Tuesday. He was brought before the investigating judge for his alleged involvement in the sale of substances harmful to health resulting in death, and for complicity, the same source specifies.

Subsequently, another individual was arrested and questioned the same day. He was also the subject of an investigation after being placed in police custody. While the first suspect was incarcerated in the local prison in Oujda, the second is still the subject of a preliminary investigation.
