The day the Spanish football federation sanctioned Lamine Yamal

Lamine Yamal was rejected in March from the Spanish under-17 national team for an act of indiscipline. The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) had also asked FC Barcelona to sanction the young player.
Lamale Yamine was sanctioned for a "serious act of indiscipline" committed during the last concentration of the Spanish under-17 national team in Algarve (Portugal). The Spanish Federation excluded him from the team led by Julen Guerrero for the Elite Tour matches, sources from the federation confirmed to Sport.es.
The young player of Moroccan origin was sanctioned after his exceptional performance in February at the tournament held in Algarve where he scored the goal that allowed his team to win the title against the Portuguese team, becoming the top scorer of the tournament with three goals. The behavior of the young striker had been analyzed by the Federation and FC Barcelona who had decided to sanction him.
Lamine Yamal, 16, was called up to the Spanish national team for the Euro 2024 qualifying matches against Georgia and Cyprus. The young player, who has turned his back on Morocco, made history against Georgia (7-1), becoming the youngest player to make his debut with the Roja and also the youngest scorer for scoring a goal during the match.
