Dar Bouazza Plans $200 Million Expressway Renovation to Improve Safety and Traffic Flow

A major project will be implemented in Dar Bouazza. It is the renovation of the expressway. A renovation includes the widening of the regional road RR320 to 2x3 lanes, over a total length of 3000 meters; the development of several underpasses at the main intersections (South-West Ring Road, RP3003, Sidi El Khadir...) to facilitate the passage of vehicles and the installation of drainage and public lighting systems, in order to contribute to better rainwater management and greater road safety at night, reports Maroc Diplomatique. The work should be completed by December 2024.

This major project aims to improve traffic flow in the municipalities of Dar Bouazza and Oulad Azzouz by increasing road capacity, reduce travel times through the implementation of more efficient and better adapted road infrastructure to the growing demand for travel in the region, improve road safety by reducing congestion and rationalizing traffic flow, reduce the risk of road accidents, but also strengthen the attractiveness of Dar Bouazza by solving traffic problems and reducing travel times, improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of Dar Bouazza by reducing travel times and reducing stress related to travel by allowing faster and easier access to Dar Bouazza.

The project is financed to the tune of 2 billion dirhams by the Ministry of the Interior (350 million dirhams), the Ministry of Equipment and Water (250 million dirhams), the Ministry of Territorial Development (250 million dirhams), the Casablanca-Settat region (250 million dirhams), the Casablanca prefectural council (75 million dirhams), the Nouaceur provincial council (65 million dirhams), the municipality of Casablanca (100 million dirhams), the municipality of Dar Bouazza (65 million dirhams), the municipality of Oulad Azzouz (20 million dirhams), and the economic interest group (575 million dirhams).
