Dakhla Implements Mandatory COVID-19 Testing for All Visitors Amid Surge in Cases

Faced with the increase in contaminations, systematic screening has been chosen as a key element of the prevention system against the virus. The local authorities in Dakhla have understood this by opting for mandatory screening for anyone wishing to enter the city.
The provincial delegate of Health in Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, Issam Addi, reported that this operation made it possible to screen thousands of travelers, among whom 196 positive cases were detected. Citizens understand the situation and explain that in these times when cases of contamination are multiplying everywhere in Morocco, this massive screening remains a wise choice, reports 2M.ma.
Screening is done at all entrances to the city, at kilometer 25, at the port and at the airport. The results are obtained within two to three days. The objective is to succeed in curbing the spread of Covid-19, specifies the same source.
