Dacia to Produce 120,000 Hybrid Joggers Annually at Moroccan Plant from 2024

Denis Le Vot, CEO of Dacia, accompanied by Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, and Mohamed Bachiri, CEO of Renault Group Maroc, announced, this Friday, March 17, during a ceremony, the launch of the production of the first hybrid model of the Romanian brand, the Dacia Jogger, in the Renault plant in Tangier, starting in the second quarter of 2024.
On this occasion, Denis Le Vot, CEO of Dacia, specified that the Dacia Jogger, the brand’s first hybrid model, will be produced at a rate of 120,000 units per year. According to him, the manufacture of the Jogger at the Tangier plant brings additional expertise and a significant increase in qualification for all employees. "The Tangier plant has proven its industrial efficiency and this new model comes to strengthen and enrich the success story of the Dacia brand in Morocco," he added.
For his part, Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, indicated that this new project reinforces Morocco’s industrial ambition to succeed in the transition to electrification and sustainable mobility and to position itself as the most competitive automotive hub worldwide.
In total, 550 employees will benefit from nearly 6,000 hours of training as part of this project.
