New Customs Rules for Foreign-Registered Vehicles Entering Morocco

Moroccans residing abroad will have to submit to a new document issued by the customs administration concerning the circulation of vehicles registered abroad.

According to the press release issued on Thursday, the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration (ADII) announced that this new document concerns not only MREs, but also tourists who come to Morocco in their vehicle.

From now on, the document issued by the ADII for the circulation on the national territory of vehicles registered abroad is replaced by a new model bearing "a mention on the compliance of the processing of the data collected in this context, with the requirements of law 09-08 relating to the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data".

However, the vehicle circulation documents issued according to the old model are valid until the expiry of the granted stay period, specified the ADII, which invites MREs and any traveler wishing to exercise their right of opposition and rectification, to send their requests via the email address: atvoyageurs@douane.gov.ma.
