The health crisis due to the coronavirus has caused a massacre within the Moroccan community living abroad.
Before the House of Representatives, the delegate minister in charge of Moroccans living abroad, Nezha El Ouafi indicated that 471 people died from Covid-19 abroad. According to the statistics of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 4.8 million are established outside Morocco, of which more than 4/5 in Europe.
This situation has affected several families, especially those living in precarious conditions. Added to this is the lack of Muslim cemeteries created by the impossibility of transferring the deceased to Morocco due to the closure of borders.
