Couple Arrested in Tangier for International Car Theft Ring and Multiple Fraud Charges

Based on information provided by the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance, the prefectural judicial police service of Tangier succeeded in apprehending a couple, prosecuted for international trafficking in stolen vehicles abroad, forgery and use of forgery, fraud and issuing checks without provision.
According to a press release from the General Directorate of National Security, the two individuals, aged 43 and 35, were arrested in Tangier, as part of the campaign against crime.
The fingerprinting operation at the security database level revealed that the couple is the subject of 15 arrest warrants at the national level, issued by the security services of Marrakech, Casablanca and Rabat.
Pending their appearance before the courts, the two accused were placed in custody at the disposal of the investigation opened under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
