According to Belga, the arrest of Ismaïl Ouchen, 25, was confirmed on Wednesday, based on information from the federal prosecutor’s office.
The defendant was wanted to serve several sentences to which he had recently been sentenced. Last August, he was sentenced, before the Brussels Court of Appeal, to five years in prison for armed robberies committed at various dealerships across the country.
A few months earlier, Ismaïl Ouchen had also been sentenced, in December, to an additional year by the same judicial body, for his participation in the theft of four all-terrain vehicles, in Tirlemont in February 2017, and a high-speed chase with the police on the Brussels ring road.
