ContiTech to Open $3.9 Million Auto Parts Factory in Tangier, Morocco

The specialist in automotive air conditioning systems (HVAC), ContiTech, plans to install a new factory in Morocco in the coming months. It is Tanger automotive city, in the north of the country, which should welcome it.
ContiTech is one of the world’s largest suppliers of technical elastomer-based products and a specialist in plastics technology, recalls Challenge.ma.
It is therefore a major industrial project covering a total area of 5,500 m², for an investment of 3.6 million euros.
The subsidiary of the group that is settling in Tanger automotive city will not only supply the Moroccan market, but should also supply southern Europe with equipment from its factory.
An integral part of the Continental group, the ContiTech division is one of the main suppliers of many technical products and is considered a specialist in plastic technology with around 41,000 employees in more than 40 countries and a turnover of nearly 6.3 billion euros, according to the same source.
