UK Considers Adding Morocco to COVID-19 Travel Red List Amid Rising Cases

The British government will review the list of countries according to their health situation. Given the current situation and the high rate of Covid-19 contamination, Morocco could be downgraded and placed on the red list.
Morocco, Cyprus, Jamaica and the United States are so far on the UK’s orange list. Britons can travel to these countries but must submit to health restrictions. "You will have to provide proof that you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, with the second dose administered at least two weeks before travel, or a negative PCR test result before boarding a plane or ferry to Morocco. Upon arrival in Morocco, you will be asked to present a completed Public Health Passenger form," says the UK Foreign Office.
The British government will review the health map this Wednesday, August 25. It is very likely that Morocco will leave the orange list for the red list. The reason is the increase in contamination cases recorded in the kingdom in recent weeks. On Monday, 2,996 new cases and 97 deaths were recorded.
