France Keeps Morocco on Covid-19 Red List Amid Variant Concerns

France has maintained Morocco on its red list of countries and territories in which "active virus circulation is observed with the presence of worrying variants".
Faced with the rise in Covid-19 cases and the spread of variants, France updated its lists on September 10, reports Air Journal. It appears that Morocco remains on its red list of countries and territories in which "active virus circulation is observed with the presence of worrying variants". 23 other countries as well: Afghanistan, South Africa, Algeria, Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Georgia, Indonesia, Iran, Maldives, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Russia, Seychelles, Suriname, Tunisia and Turkey.
In addition to European countries, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Bahrain, Brunei, Canada, Chile, South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Jordan, Lebanon, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Ukraine, the Union of the Comoros, Uruguay and Vanuatu are also classified on the green list of countries "in which no active virus circulation is observed and no worrying variant is recorded".
All countries that are not included in the "green" and "red" country lists are placed on the orange list of countries in which "active virus circulation is observed in controlled proportions, without the spread of worrying variants".
