Commercial Real Estate Prices Surge 14% in Morocco’s Major Cities

In both Casablanca and Rabat, commercial real estate prices have seen an average increase of 14% between May and October 2020. This is revealed by a survey conducted by the news site Mubawab.
According to the survey data, the most expensive prices per square meter for acquisition are found in Casablanca Maârif-extension, Rabat Agdal and Casablanca Racine-extension, with 30,000, 26,000 and 25,000 dirhams per square meter respectively, and the most expensive rents in Rabat Ryad, Casablanca Maârif-extension and Casablanca Anfa". The average price is 13,700 DH/m² for offices for sale, and the rent for offices is set at 17,200 DH/month.
As a result, there is a 28% drop in demand for offices for sale. Conversely, the demand for offices for rent is increasing by 119%.
