Rabat Real Estate Prices Surge 3.6% in Q3 2020, Outpacing Other Moroccan Cities

The increase in the price of real estate assets recorded in the third quarter of 2020 has affected Moroccan cities in a specific way. This increase is more observed in Rabat.

Thus, in the third quarter, sales experienced an increase of 117.6%, after quarterly declines of 41.4% and 29% in the second and first quarters. This increase in sales is justified by a price increase and takes into account the residential, land and commercial real estate.

Similarly, during the third quarter, the asset price index experienced a 3.6% increase, quarter-on-quarter, following a 3% drop in the second quarter.

However, these figures are not identical at the level of all cities. Rabat comes first, with 12% quarter-on-quarter on real estate prices after a 6.4% drop in the second quarter. Following Rabat is Tangier, with a quarterly improvement of 5.3%. Sales thus increased by 59% as in 2019.

The city of Oujda occupies third place with a 5.2% increase in real estate asset prices for this quarter. Casablanca and Marrakech come after, with the price increase remaining stable, i.e. 2.9% for the economic capital and a limited increase of 0.9% for the ochre city.
