Columbia Lions Women’s Basketball Team Embarks on Morocco-Spain Tour

The women’s team from New York’s Columbia University (Columbia Lions) is embarking on a one-week preparatory tour of Morocco and Spain next Saturday.
According to Columbia’s head coach Megan Griffith, "this will be a wonderful opportunity for our players, coaches and all of our staff to start the season together." For her, this tour will allow her players to have a "different experience."
In Morocco, the New York players will have a friendly match (Chefchaouen) and two in Spain. This tour will also allow the Lions to prepare after leading an "extraordinary season" in the Ivy League. The American team will also enjoy visiting some tourist sites in Tangier and Chefchaouen.
