Colombian Man Found Dead in Portuguese Villa Pool, Sparking Investigation

A 31-year-old Colombian who had been living in Morocco for over 7 years was found dead on Saturday in a tourist village near Faro, Portugal. An investigation has been opened.

The body of Dylan Andrés Gamarra Mora was found floating in the pool of the villa known as Casa Tin Tin. According to local press, the victim’s relatives have called for a thorough investigation to determine the causes and circumstances of his death, believing that the versions provided by those who were with him at the time of his death, including his partner, who suggest suicide, are unfounded. The relatives have requested assistance from the Colombian consulate in Morocco and local authorities to elucidate the young man’s death and proceed with the repatriation of his body.

The case has taken an even more worrying turn due to the disappearance of Dylan’s partner who, according to Portuguese authorities, has not made a statement and has not been heard from since the discovery of the body, suggesting she could be involved in the young man’s death. Portuguese authorities are continuing investigations to elucidate this case. Meanwhile, Dylan’s relatives are facing another difficulty: the repatriation of the body, which is estimated to cost more than 10 million Colombian pesos (over 2,100 euros). They have launched an online fundraiser for this purpose.

Dylan’s family is also asking anyone with information about his death to contact the competent authorities to advance the investigation. As for the Portuguese authorities, they are working to locate the victim’s partner, the main suspect, whose statement could be crucial in clarifying the circumstances of his death.
