Gendarme Found Dead in Casablanca Province, Investigation Launched

The body was found hanging by a rope to a tree branch. According to the information reported, this discovery took place on the third day of Eid al-Fitr. The disappearance of the young gendarme had been reported by his family several hours before he was found.

The brigade of the Royal Gendarmerie of Nouaceur and the elements of the judicial center of Bouskoura went to the scene. They secured the area and proceeded to collect elements for the investigation. A procedure was opened by the competent prosecutor’s office. In addition, the Attorney General of the King at the Court of Appeal of Casablanca ordered the judicial police to conduct an urgent judicial investigation to clarify the facts surrounding this death.

The body of the gendarme was transferred to the Forensic Institute for an autopsy to be performed.
