Collins Aerospace Expands in Morocco, Plans 800 New Jobs in Aeronautical Sector

The American company Collins Aerospace, specialized in the manufacture of aeronautical equipment, will develop its supply ecosystem in Morocco. To this end, a memorandum of understanding has been signed to this effect between the management and the ministry in charge of industry.
Concluded on the sidelines of the Farnborough Air Show, which is being held from July 18 to 22, the agreement is part of the development of aeronautical locomotive projects aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of the sector.
According to the document, the Collins ecosystem will be structured around local suppliers and a sourcing platform. Ultimately, it should generate 800 jobs and cumulative revenue of one billion dollars by 2032.
Speaking on the occasion, Ryad Mezzour indicated that "the birth of this new ecosystem of players driven by this global industry giant will contribute in particular to the transfer of know-how to local operators, the creation of jobs for young people and Morocco’s efforts to keep pace with global trends towards sustainable production."
It should be recalled that Collins Aerospace has been present in Morocco since 2011 through its subsidiary Ratier Figeac Maroc, specialized in the production of mechanical sub-assemblies for cockpit and cabin equipment.
