CNSS Cancels Late Fees for Businesses to Aid COVID-19 Recovery

The National Social Security Fund (CNSS) has decided to cancel all late payment increases and penalties this Thursday. This is to support businesses in overcoming the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, this decision is subject to certain conditions.
The decision of the Board of Directors concerns arrears of contributions prior to June 2020 for the benefit of companies. This decision takes effect as soon as the inter-ministerial decree is signed between the Minister of Labor and Professional Integration and the Minister of Economy, Finance and Administration Reform and is valid for a period of one year. It is subject to the payment of the principal with the possibility of staggering these payments which can be spread over 60 months.
Similarly, the supplementary allowance for the months of April, May and June 2020, paid by the employer to employees on sick leave to preserve their purchasing power, is exempt.
This decision will take effect after the administrative procedure in force and the authorization of the Ministry of Labor and Professional Integration.
