Citroën AMI Electric Cars Face Rear Tire Wear Issue, Affecting Models Made Before June 2022

Another flaw of the Citroën AMI made in Kenitra, Morocco, has been discovered. It is the wear of its rear tires.
After correcting the various defects of the Citroën Ami, another one has been discovered: abnormal wear of the rear tires on the inner tread (after 3 to 4,000 km for some owners). All models produced up to May 30, 2022 may have this defect. According to the manufacturer, this defect is related to a loss of the rear suspension geometry values.
"If the depth of the wear indicator is less than or equal to 6 mm, the tires must be replaced and the geometry corrected," says L’Argus. It is therefore up to the workshops to insert washers between the suspension arm and the rear hub.
