Chinese Consortium Wins Bid for Major Moroccan Highway Viaducts

A consortium led by the Chinese group Shandong Gaosu Luqiao International has won the tender for the construction of two viaducts on the future continental highway connecting Rabat and Casablanca.
This major infrastructure project aims to improve traffic fluidity on this strategic road axis.
According to information obtained by Barlamane.com, the contract amounts to approximately 828 million dirhams. The two structures will cross the valleys of El-Maleh and N’fifikh.
The realization of these viaducts, scheduled over 28 months, will require advanced technical expertise. It will involve the use of resistant construction materials to ensure the durability of the structures in the face of traffic and environmental constraints.
Shandong Gaosu Luqiao is thus consolidating its presence in Morocco. The company has previously contributed to the Moroccan high-speed train (TGV) project.
