• Morocco Considers Extending Public Sector Maternity Leave to 16 Weeks

  The Socialist parliamentary group has submitted a bill to the Justice, Legislation and Human Rights Committee in the first Chamber of the Moroccan Parliament to increase the maternity leave in the public administration to 16 weeks instead of 14 currently.
  This law, once passed, would allow women to retain their full salary for 16 weeks and to benefit, upon request, from an additional three-month leave, while retaining half of their salary.
