Chelsea Academy Star Ibrahim Rabbaj Opts to Represent Morocco Over England

The Moroccan gem of the Chelsea academy, Ibrahim Rabbaj, would have finally chosen to join the Atlas Lions, to the detriment of the English team that wanted to recruit him.
The 16-year-old player would have accepted the invitation of the Moroccan Football Federation to participate with the Lionceaux de l’Atlas in the U17 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco in March.
"I played with England, but now I want to play for Morocco. In sha Allah, I will play the Africa Cup with Morocco, we will win and make our country proud. I want to score and be decisive, show my game and win the Africa Cup!" he said in a recent statement.
Born in London, the young English striker of Moroccan origin plays in the youth categories at Chelsea where he has already scored 52 goals and provided 60 assists in 40 matches. In 2024, he had played for the English U15 and U16 teams.
