Midfielder Anouar Ait El Hadj Switches Allegiance from Belgium to Morocco National Team

Anouar Ait El Hadj is now a Moroccan international. The midfielder from the Belgian club Saint-Gilloise has chosen to wear the Moroccan jersey, at the expense of Belgium.
FIFA has approved the change of sporting nationality for Aït El Hadj who has decided to represent Morocco, his country of origin, rather than Belgium. The decision by the world football governing body puts an end to recent rumors spread by Algerian media, suggesting that the young player had refused to join the Moroccan national team.
The new Atlas Lion had played for Belgian youth teams. This season, he has scored 5 goals and provided 4 assists in 33 matches across all competitions. His contract with Saint-Gilloise runs until the summer of 2028.
