Chefchaouen Launches 4km Road Upgrade to Boost Safety and Ease Traffic

The various stages of this long-awaited work are ensured by the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics and Water, reports Aujourd’hui Le Maroc. It is part of a series of road projects that are included in the ambitious urban rehabilitation and renovation program of Chefchaouen. This ambitious project will be carried out on the road axis (RN No. 412) connecting the Sefalaou bridge to the city over a length of 4 km. It also aims to relieve traffic and ensure road safety on this axis.
It is also planned on this road axis the extension or rehabilitation of other roads in the urban perimeter as well as the development of the road axis leading to the tourist area of Ras El Maa. Added to this are the creation of leisure areas and parking lots as well as the construction of sidewalks and the installation of streetlights for the lighting of the site.
