Casablanca Tax Revenues Soar to Record 4.2 Billion Dirhams in 2022

Over the whole of 2022, the tax revenues of the city of Casablanca have increased sharply, reaching 4.2 billion dirhams against 3.6 billion dirhams a year earlier. A record.
These are figures never reached since its creation 18 years ago, indicates a press release from the city council, specifying that the growth rate recorded between the two years 2021 and 2022 is 17%.
This performance was achieved thanks to the coordinated actions between the municipality and the regional treasury, notes the press release. More specifically, the joint plan rolled out during the year concerned the control of the tax base and the improvement of collection.
This record figure was also made possible thanks to the reduction of outstanding receivables for taxes and fees managed by the services of the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI), the services of the General Treasury of the Kingdom (TGR) as well as the services of the municipality.
