Casablanca Shocked: Mother and Fiancé Arrested in 3-Year-Old’s Death

The authorities of Lahraoyuine (Casablanca) have arrested a beggar and her fiancé, accused of the death of the latter’s 3-year-old daughter.
The city of Casablanca is shaken by the tragic death of this 3-year-old girl who would have been killed by her own mother, a beggar, and her companion. The two accused were brought before the public prosecutor’s office, reports the daily Assabah, specifying that the murder trail is favored by the investigators.
The beggar took the unconscious child to the children’s hospital in Casablanca, claiming that she had fallen down the stairs of their home. Injured in the head, the girl was admitted to intensive care, but ended up dying. The attending physician found that the victim had marks of physical violence on her body and estimated that they would be the main cause of the loss of consciousness and death of the girl.
Doubting the mother’s version, who mentioned a fall down the stairs and who insisted on recovering the body of the girl in order to bury her quickly, the doctor decided to submit a report on this case to the public prosecutor’s office. This is how the beggar was summoned by the gendarmerie in the Lahraouyine area.
Questioned, she claimed that she was alerted by one of her neighbors after the girl fell down the stairs, adding that she found her unconscious. But after the neighbor’s testimony, the investigators discovered that the house had no stairs. Cornered, the beggar finally confessed her crime. She killed the girl, born out of wedlock, in order to be able to marry her fiancé. The latter was also arrested.
