Casablanca Police Reopen Investigation into Fatal Accident Following Social Media Claims

The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has ordered, based on elements published on social networks, a thorough investigation into the circumstances of an accident that caused the death of a young man and the injury of his friend, as well as a police officer.
The accident dates back to September 8 in the Aïn Sebaâ Hay Mohammadi area of Casablanca, the DGSN press release states, adding that the National Brigade of the Judicial Police has been tasked with continuing and deepening the investigation, in order to know the truth and enlighten public opinion.
The investigations will be carried out under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, in order to elucidate all the circumstances and determine the true motivations.
The Director of the DGSN also gave his instructions to the central services of the national security to ensure the follow-up of this file on the administrative level, pending the results of the judicial investigation, in order to allow these services to establish the necessary legal and administrative measures, concludes the press release.
