Casablanca Officials Launch COVID-19 Awareness Campaign Amid Rising Concerns

Faced with the non-compliance with the health protocol, the health and administrative authorities of the city of Casablanca are giving a final warning to the population. Awareness campaigns have been launched in the city.
Since Wednesday, health and administrative authorities have been conducting awareness campaigns in the city. The objective: to remind the people of Casablanca of the obligation to comply with the health protection rules issued by the Ministries of Health and the Interior, in particular the mandatory wearing of masks in public places and respect for physical distancing.
One of these campaigns was held near the Aïn Sbaâ beach, and involved the participation of administrative officials, local elected officials and representatives of the national security. Most of the people sitting by the sea or seated in a cafe were without protective masks and did not respect social distancing, reports Assabah. The authorities immediately called them to order. They hammered home to them that sanctions will rain down after these awareness campaigns.
The delegation went to other neighborhoods of the city for the same exercise.
