Casablanca Named Safest African City for Travelers in Forbes Advisor Ranking

The city of Casablanca tops the Forbes Advisor ranking of the safest destinations for travel in Africa this year.
With a score of 75.53 out of 100 points, Casablanca ranks as the safest (or least risky) of the African cities, according to the Forbes Advisor platform. Cairo in Egypt comes in second on this list with a score of 83.44 out of 100, followed by Lagos in Nigeria (91.54/100) and Johannesburg in South Africa.
At the global level, Singapore is the safest destination with a score of 0 out of 100 points. It is followed by Tokyo in Japan (10.72/100) and Toronto in Canada (13.60/100). In terms of the least safe destinations for tourists, the cities of Caracas in Venezuela (100/100), Karachi in Pakistan (93.12/100) and Yangon in Myanmar (91.67/100) top the list.
Forbes Advisor ranked the cities on a scale of 0 to 100 (100 representing the highest risk for travelers). The study made a comparison between 60 cities in the world based on indicators such as crime rate, health and natural disaster risks, cybersecurity, or safety for women, solo travelers and LGBTQ+ people.
