Casablanca Launches $2 Million Pest Control Initiative to Combat Rat Infestation

A call for tenders has just been launched by the SDL Casa Prestations for the purchase of various products to fight the proliferation of rats in Casablanca.
According to the details of this call for tenders published on the SDL website, an amount of 505,000 dirhams is planned for the purchase of rodenticides, while a sum of 183,000 dirhams is dedicated to larvicides.
As the newspaper Aujourd’hui le Maroc recalls, the city of Casablanca devotes some 7 million dirhams per year to rat control, insect control, disinfection and stray dog control, but faced with the persistence of the phenomenon, it was decided to allocate an additional envelope of 20 million dirhams over 5 years.
