Casablanca’s First Beer Festival to Proceed, Closed to Public

It’s confirmed. The first edition of the beer festival will indeed take place on October 28 in Casablanca. The rumor that the event is canceled is false. However, it will not be open to the public.
Several sources had announced the cancellation of the first Moroccan Oktoberfest, justifying the information by the withdrawal of publications related to the event on the Facebook account of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Morocco. The organization would have given in to the pressure of those who opposed this festival. But this is not the case.
On Wednesday, the organizers reacted, restoring the truth. According to them, if the publications relating to the event have been deleted from the social networks, it is because of the "unexpected" number of registration requests received. The private event planned in Casablanca promises to bring to life "the unique atmosphere of the Oktoberfest under a marquee of more than 300 seats in Bouskoura," they had indicated.
Meanwhile, a source quoted by h24info argues that holding this festival in Morocco is a "bad idea, because it has never been organized in an Arab or Muslim country where there is a great risk of offending the feelings of the populations." And to add: "in any case, it is not the right idea to mark the thawing of relations between the two countries."
