Casablanca Court Delays Trial in Brutal Murder of Young Badr, Family Seeks Justice

The Court of Appeal of Casablanca has just postponed to February 20 the examination of the file of the accused in the murder of young Badr, coldly murdered in the city. Another postponement deplored by the victim’s family who demand justice.
At the hearing held on Tuesday, the judge in charge of the case decided to postpone the file to February 20, at the request of Me Mbarek Meskini, the new lawyer of the main accused after the withdrawal of his predecessor, who requested a delay to become acquainted with the elements of the file and prepare his defense.
After the replacement of the defense lawyer, "we have asked that there be a close delay, and that the file be considered ready, under any pretext or circumstance," said Me Yazid Naimi, member of the defense of the civil parties.
The postponement of the hearing has caused sadness and desolation among Badr’s relatives and friends, who came in large numbers to support his family. The young man was fatally hit by a vehicle. Five individuals were arrested in Laâyoune in this case, as they were trying to flee abroad after their crime.
