As usual, tons of waste litter the streets after the celebration of Eid Al-Adha. This year, nearly 28,000 tons were collected in 72 hours in Casablanca.
In a press release published online, the local development company "Casablanca Baia" specified that the collection operation mobilized 5,500 collection and cleaning agents and 400 machines dedicated to cleanliness.
It was led by more than 20 controllers and managers. In addition, the company’s toll-free number did not record any complaints. According to a study commissioned by the Regional Council, the Casablanca-Settat region produces more than 33 million tons of waste annually.
