My career stopped in 2019": The poignant testimony of the former Miss Morocco
Severely burned during a cryotherapy session in 2019, former Miss Morocco Ilham Khallad is relaunching her legal battle. The young woman is calling for witnesses to have her physiotherapist’s responsibility recognized.
The accident occurred while she was preparing for a beauty pageant. According to France Bleu, the practitioner was simultaneously caring for other clients. Upon removal of the device, a fragment of skin was torn off, causing first and second degree lesions to the abdomen.

These physical sequelae abruptly interrupted her professional trajectory. "Since 2019, I no longer have any contracts because of my scars," confides the one who had to undergo three years of psychological therapy after seeing her battered body.
A first civil hearing held in 2021 had demanded a medical examination, ultimately aborted due to a procedural error. Now supported by a lawyer specialized in bodily harm, the plaintiff is restarting the case from scratch to obtain compensation.

Convinced that these incidents are multiplying in the shadows, she mobilized her social networks in 2025 to collect other testimonies. "Other people have had the same problem as me but don’t have the courage to speak up," she says.
