This manager of a vehicle rental agency was not patient enough for the resumption of his company’s activities. He switched to selling psychotropics by falsifying travel certificates for his employees. According to the daily Assabah, these documents allowed the accused and his accomplices to go to Tangier and Tetouan, where they supplied themselves with psychotropic tablets, which they resold in the Rabat-Salé region.
Trapped on Thursday during one of his operations, he was arrested and taken to his office for possible searches. The police found inside one of the cars in his fleet nearly 3,500 ecstasy tablets, a large sum of money, as well as a wide variety of mobile phones used for contacting clients and suppliers.
Arrested, the accused admitted the facts and provided the names of his accomplices before being taken into custody on the orders of the prosecutor’s office at the court of first instance in Salé. According to the same source, the public prosecutor in Salé also ordered the seizure, for the benefit of customs which has joined as a civil party, of two cars belonging to the arrested agency manager.
